A Collaborative Enhancement Project (CEP) led by Dr. Linda Marron, Academic Head of HE Programmes at Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI), has been awarded funding from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). The QAA-funded CEP has been designed to support AI literacy and authentic assessment in higher education.

The project brings together a network of universities and institutions to explore how AI might be used in teaching, learning, and assessment for both staff and students, with a focus on building confidence and critical understanding.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the higher education sector, the project aims to create spaces for shared inquiry and professional dialogue around AI and assessment. Through workshops, case studies and collective reflection, participating institutions will examine current practices, identify opportunities, and develop practical insights into how AI might enhance or challenge existing approaches to teaching, learning and assessment, whilst maintaining ethical awareness and academic integrity.

The project will deliver a range of practical outputs designed to support meaningful engagement with AI and authentic assessment across the sector. These include the development of an interactive AI Literacy Development Tool, adaptable teaching materials, and scalable frameworks for both AI literacy and authentic assessment. Collaborative webinars and networking opportunities will further enable shared learning, while an evaluative report will capture findings, examples of effective practice, and recommendations for wider adoption across the higher education institutions and QAA member institutions.
